For me, painting is like breathing. It is more than a passion. It is something I must do. In my paintings, I strive to convey more than just a moment in time. To me, a successful piece is one I can look at later, and remember everything about that experience, ie. the location, what I was feeling, the temperature, the time of day, the aromas present, etc. The only thing that can top that, is when someone else comes along, and simply by viewing that painting, can experience some of the same. That, to me, is an accomplishment.
